Joost Germis strengthens Whyte Corporate Affairs and assumes day-to-day management of Antwerp office
Antwerp/Brussels, 16 December 2021 - In order to further shape the success story of its second, Antwerp office, Joost Germis is joining the team of Whyte Corporate Affairs as Director. Whyte Corporate Affairs is a Belgian independent communication agency and market leader in corporate communication, crisis communication & issue management and public affairs. Joost Germis is currently Chief of Staff of Antwerp Alderman for Economy, Claude Marinower
Previously, Joost Germis held various advisory positions within the Flemish government and was, among other postions, Director of Corporate Relations at VOKA. He also holds various directorships. As a result, Joost was and is always active at the interface between society, business and politics - precisely the working area of a strategic communications agency such as Whyte Corporate Affairs.
Working closely with Joris Bulteel, who as partner is responsible for the Antwerp Whyte office, Joost Germis will take charge of the day-to-day consultancy and further expansion of the business.
"With Joost Germis’s arrival, we are taking another important step into Whyte Corporate Affairs’s growth story. Joost combines his extensive political and managerial experience with a sound knowledge of the business community and the broader stakeholder landscape. He is also extremely familiar with the dossiers and themes on which the Whyte team works, both in the Antwerp region and in the rest of the Flemish region. He will be of great added value both for our clients and for the team," says Joris Bulteel, partner of Whyte Corporate Affairs.
"I have known Whyte since its foundation and have always followed the company with fascination. Whyte is an absolute authority for me as a partner of companies and organisations in complex environments and dossiers. I am therefore proud to be able to take part in this growth story and hope to be able to give it an additional boost with my knowledge and experience," says Joost Germis, who will start working at Whyte Corporate Affairs as a Director in the course of January 2022.
A few years ago, Whyte Corporate Affairs opened a second office in Antwerp as an additional springboard to clients based in Flanders. This made Whyte the first and only agency with a presence in the country's two largest cities.
This initiative has enabled Whyte Corporate Affairs to further expand its unique client portfolio - particularly with clients in the port, chemicals & industry, logistics and infrastructure sectors. Clients call on Whyte's expertise in corporate and crisis communications, public affairs and stakeholder management, and internal communications and change management. As a result, Whyte is involved in many of the main challenges in terms of support creation, crisis dossiers and corporate transactions in the Antwerp and Flemish economies.
